FREE Corn & Sausage Roast for MVP Members
There will be a FREE "thank-you" corn & sausage roast for all MVP cardholders on September 18. This roast will be courtesty of UV Vodka and Between the Buns. We would like to show all of Michiana that The Buns is THE place to watch and enjoy Notre Dame football games when the team is not playing at home.

Each MVP card (and one guest) will be able to attend, with each guest being allowed up to 2 sausages and 1 ear of corn. Service starts at 6:30pm and the game starts at 8:00pm.

Reservations not needed, so the Buns recommends showing up as early as possible.

The Buns gets Top 8 placement in ESPN's "#1 Sports Bar in North America" search
On August 27 the voting opened for ESPN's search for the "#1 sports bar in the country".

Competing against sports bars in big cities like Detroit, Santa Monica (next to L.A.) and Green Bay the Buns had an uphill battle. Voting was open to everyone and the Buns had a LOT of local support. With morning appearances on WNDU and Fox28 and a piece on WSBT right after Saturday night football, and additional mentions on WNDU (2x) and Fox28 the Buns had a good shot at winning this national recognition spot.

In the end, ESPN changed the name of the competition to "1 Sports Bar in North America" and gave the title to a sports bar in Toronto, Canada, which happens to be the location of the headquarters of TSN (The Sports Network) [Canada's version of ESPN]. Coincidentally, ESPN is also a 20% shareholder of TSN. [source Wikipedia]

The Buns is still celebrating their new title as One of ESPN's Top 8 Sports Bars in North America and will celebrate this achievement and the support they received from the Michiana community during the week of September 13-19 with a special coupon to their voters. Notes to follow soon.
