We will have a class on May 30, at Tradewinds restaurant on McKinley. See locations below when scheduled.

The class is 2 hours and will cost $20. There will be a test at the end of the class which you must pass.

ID required to attend. Once class has started, no one will be allowed in.

Liquor permit holders, managers, bartenders, servers and store clerks... You are in the right place to find out about the newly required Indiana Alcohol Certification.

As of May 1, 2011 all liquor permit holders, including owners and managers, must go through the Alcohol Handler Certification. This involves a 2 hour class and an examination which the handler must pass.

Between the Buns has become certified by the Indiana Excise Police to train servers and managers for the required certification.

A few facts you should know about the Certification....

• Your liquor permit is NOT dependant on the certification (unless you are 19 or 20 years old).
• All current permit holders must pass their certification by May 1, 2011 to stay legal.
  Let me state that again - your liquor permit and your certification are not tied together
  and one has nothing to do with the other. If you need to renew your liquor permit,
  do not wait for the classes. Do it before you expire.

• You MUST bring some form of government issued ID attend the class - NO EXCEPTIONS

Private Classes are available. Standard attendee fees and/or travel costs could be applicable depending on location. Minimum 25 attendees required for private classes.
